Eucalyptus Dives
Eucalyptus dives

Eucalyptus dives (Broad-leaved Peppermint) is distinguished from other commercial eucalyptus species by its high piperitone content rather than 1,8-cineole, making its oil chemically atypical within the genus. The purified ketone 3-carvomenthenone (piperitone) isolated from E. dives oil has demonstrated fumigant and contact insecticidal activity against stored-product insects including Plodia interpunctella and Tribolium castaneum.[1]
