Helichrysum italicum

Helichrysum essential oil

Helichrysum essential oil (Helichrysum italicum), also known as immortelle, is notable for its high content of neryl acetate (up to 40%), alpha-pinene, and the diketones italidione I-III, which are associated with its remarkable anti-bruising and anti-haematoma properties.[1] The oil also contains curcumene and beta-selinene, contributing to anti-inflammatory and wound-healing activity that has been validated in several clinical and preclinical studies.[2]
